Attorney Referrals

A Referral Partner You Can Trust
Referring a case is ultimately a decision about trust. You want to know your client will be treated with respect, kept informed, and represented by attorneys who will prepare the case thoroughly and pursue the best possible result. You also want to know that the referral relationship will be handled professionally, with clear communication and transparency throughout the process.
The Stuckey Firm welcomes referrals from attorneys across Ohio and beyond. We are a client-first, plaintiff-side personal injury firm built around direct attorney involvement, trial-ready case preparation, and collaboration with the people we represent. We bring those same values to every referral relationship.
Our Approach to Referred Cases
We understand that when you refer a case, you are placing your reputation alongside ours. That is why we prioritize strong intake, clear expectations, and consistent communication from the first call through resolution. When we accept a referral, we focus on:
- Responsive communication with the client
- Thorough case evaluation and strategic planning
- Proactive documentation and evidence development
- Trial-ready preparation from day one
- Respectful coordination with the referring attorney
We work with clients, not just for them, meaning the client is educated and engaged throughout the process. This leads to better decisions, stronger cases, and a client experience that reflects well on your firm.

Referral Case Types We Commonly Accept
The Stuckey Firm focuses exclusively on plaintiff-side personal injury and civil justice matters. We accept referrals in a wide range of injury cases, including:
- Motor vehicle accidents (car, truck, motorcycle, rideshare, commercial vehicle)
- Catastrophic injury and wrongful death
- Traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, serious orthopedic injury
- Premises liability and unsafe property cases
- Dog bites and animal attacks
- Construction and worksite accidents (including third-party claims)
- Medical malpractice and nursing home abuse
- Product liability cases
- Civil rights cases, including police misconduct and brutality
If you are unsure whether a case fits our practice, we welcome the conversation. Many referred cases involve complex liability, disputed damages, or high-stakes injuries requiring careful litigation strategy.
Why Attorneys Refer to The Stuckey Firm
Trial-Ready Representation
We prepare every case as if it may go to trial, regardless of whether it ultimately resolves through negotiation. That approach improves leverage, strengthens evaluation, and signals to insurers and defense counsel that the case will be pursued seriously.
Client-First, Attorney-Driven Service
Clients are not handed off to case managers. Our attorneys remain directly involved, giving clients the kind of communication and personal attention that builds trust and reduces friction throughout litigation.
Statewide Credibility and Leadership
Our firm is deeply involved in the Ohio legal community. With three consecutive past presidents of the Ohio Association for Justice affiliated with the firm, and ongoing legislative advocacy, The Stuckey Firm has a reputation for strong civil justice leadership and well-prepared claims.
Clear Communication With Referring Counsel
We respect the referral relationship and maintain professional communication throughout the case. Depending on the referring attorney’s preferences, we provide updates at key stages and stay available for collaboration when appropriate.
Co-Counsel Arrangements and Ethical Compliance
Ohio’s Rules of Professional Conduct govern how attorneys may divide fees in associated cases through co-counsel arrangements. The Stuckey Firm structures all co-counsel and division-of-fee agreements in full compliance with those requirements, including written disclosure of the fee division, informed client consent prior to representation, and a reasonable fee arrangement documented at the outset. All co-counsel relationships are formalized to ensure compliance with Ohio law.
We are happy to discuss the appropriate co-counsel structure for any potential matter and ensure the agreement aligns fully with Ohio’s ethical requirements.

A Seamless Client Experience
Our goal is to make referral cases easy for the referring attorney and supportive for the client. We aim to:
- Make intake smooth and responsive
- Build a strategy aligned with the client’s goals.
- Ensure clients understand the process.
- Deliver a high-quality experience that reflects well on your practice.
- Reduce stress through proactive communication.
Clients often come to us overwhelmed, hesitant, or unsure about pursuing a claim. We take the time to educate them, address concerns about fees and litigation, and help them feel confident moving forward.
